W hile traveling is a way many of us escape reality and the mundaneness of our day-to-day routines, your skincare routine should remain consistent whether you’re sitting in front of your bathroom mirror or on a beach in Croatia . And, to keep its members glowing no matter their destination, Exclusive Resorts has partnered with Mary Allan , earth-conscious, beauty-wellness guru and founder of Mary Allan Skincare .

Just like its name suggests, Exclusive Resorts is an exclusive, members-only vacation club that welcomes only 200 new families per year. The membership is ideal for travelers who prioritize privacy and peace of mind when traveling, allowing them to take full advantage of the relaxation and luxury that awaits them in one of the club’s 350+ residences in over 75 destinations worldwide.

“We are pleased that Mary Allan has joined Exclusive Resorts ’ highly curated portfolio of partners,” Joey Whelan, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Exclusive Resorts, says. “Mary’s products are a wonderful addition to our other esteemed partners, from private-jet-travel providers, vineyards, luxury cars and boats to memberships in A&K’s Marco Polo Club and Avis’ Chairman’s Club.”

Between the dry, recirculated air in an airplane, extended sun exposure and being exposed to new and varying temperatures, your skin goes through a lot while traveling, to say the least. Keeping your skin hydrated, healthy and protected while on vacation is key.

And so, as part of this new partnership, Exclusive Resorts members can do just that! Members receive an exclusive discount on the entire Mary Allan Skincare product line, a complimentary session with in-house estheticians and a VIP gift with purchase.

”I believe holistic beauty is conscious beauty, which one needs when traveling,” Allan says. “Dehydrated, jet-lagged skin can benefit from rosewater infused with the soothing properties of sustainably sourced white lilies coupled with a heavier cream than you would normally wear to lock in the water.”

Allan has spent over two decades traveling the world in search of “ botanicals that she uniquely ferments to unlock their hidden powers.” The fermentation process takes the healing ingredients from an inactive form and converts them into a bio-active form that our skin can easily recognize. Fermentation allows the more beneficial components of a plant to be isolated, such as naturally occurring glycoproteins, which results in unique emollient and moisturizing benefits.

As an example, Allan and the team ferment pomegranate “to help the enzymes and phytochemicals of the fruit become more readily available without the need for heat treatments or harsh chemicals, which generally denature active components.” In addition to pomegranate, Mary Allan Skincare ’s other power plants for fermentation include blue agave, papaya, cocoa, acerola cherries and many more!

Throughout her decades-long career, Allan has spent the past 10 years building supplier relationships with companies that share the same beliefs and values as she does. Quality over quantity is a top priority for Mary Allan Skincare which is why formulations are made in small batches, ensuring maximum freshness.

“We are proud of the ecological and cultural diversity of our ingredients, and we are inspired by the people who cultivate them, their lives and stories,” Allan says.

In addition to finding and working with like-minded partners, Allan vows to give back. Her skincare company has partnered with One Tree Planted , a nonprofit dedicated to global reforestation by planting trees to restore nature and biodiversity. Ethical ingredient sourcing is another way the company gives back. An area of the beauty industry that is often overlooked is the minority workers. By purchasing through cooperatives, these developing regions profit from the purchase of their oils which also further helps develop their communities.
